Kaarla Taco Shack
“Kaarla” is made up of two locally renowned chefs, Tim Whitty owner and founder of Kitchen Takeovers and Glen Hagger owner and founder of GH Produce. After working together 20 years ago as budding young chefs and years apart the two friends have been reunited after Glen’s move back to the Southwest in 2020. After a few beers the two finally put their beautiful minds together and that’s when “Kaarla Taco Shack” was born!
At “Kaarla” we focus on showcasing native Australia and Western Australia ingredients to bring you a taco experience like no other! We cook with fire and bring a modern twist to the taco world using traditional methods of cooking. “Kaarla” means fire in the local Noongar dialect and as such we show our utmost respect to the traditional owners and custodians of this beautiful country we are privilege to call “home”
After years of cheffing the two have forged great relationships with local farmers, fishermen and indigenous owned businesses to source the highest quality ingredients known to man. Come to “Kaarla Taco Shack” with an open mind, empty stomach, beach vibes and of course a cold drink! Experience beach side street food at its finest this summer!!
